    Valentine’s Day 💌

    I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day.

There’s something about it that feels light and playful — an excuse to lean into pinks and reds, little notes, small surprises, and going all in on something that doesn’t really need a reason.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed about the day I’d get to put together Valentine boxes and treats for my kids. The kind with thought behind them. The kind that feel a little over the top in the best way.

Holidays have always been my favorite. I love the planning, the creativity, the details. There’s something grounding about choosing to be festive, even when life feels busy or loud.

And yes — I’ll say it — I special order custom valentines for my kids every year. I know it sounds a little extra. You don’t have to judge me. It’s just a small thing that sparks a lot of joy for me.

I love finding something unique, something no one else will have, something that feels personal. It’s never about doing more — it’s about doing thoughtfully.

What’s surprised me most is seeing how much my oldest son takes after me in this way. He loves a good surprise. He notices the details. He lights up over the little things. Watching that part of him show up feels like seeing a tiny reflection of myself, and I love that more than I can explain.

At the end of the day, it’s just Valentine’s Day. A few boxes, a few treats, some notes. But it’s also memory-making. It’s choosing to celebrate in small, intentional ways — and letting yourself enjoy it without overthinking it.

This is one of those things I hope my kids remember. Not the exact gifts, but the feeling. The effort. The fun of it all.

And if nothing else, it makes me happy — which feels reason enough.
